Saint CHARBEL is a Libanese hermit, of Maronite confession, born on May 8th.1828 and deceased in odor of holiness on December 24th, 1898.

Deeply touched by the welcome we received during our 2 years spent to Lebanon, and especially in Annaya, we thus decided to call our lodging Etape CHARBEL as a thanks.
Etape CHARBEL is a place of Welcome for all obediences, religions, cultures, races and colors, and we hope to make show through our welcome, a little heat and the Love which we received in this beautiful country, unfortunately so often tested.

We make a point of thanking for the bottom of the Heart for their welcome, the monastery of Annaya and its hermitage, high place of serenity, like our friends Libanais and more particularly Father Edmond, who opened his door and his Heart to us....
